Pumpkins

The other night I was going through some old pictures that were on our hard-drive and I came across this one of Derek and I on our wedding day (and he thought I'd be nice!). He was totally caught off gaurd, it was great! So I had to put it on the blog for a while, for old times sake!!

Ethan was really cute the other night cuddling with Daisy, here's a couple pictures.

On Sunday, Ethan and I went to get pick out our pumpkins. We went to a place just off 31, they had TONS! Ethan had fun with all of the "balls" as he calls them. When we got there they had some really huge pumkins as you walked in so I got Ethan with the biggest one! He kept patting it and even laid his head on it! I got some more pictures too, but they're on my other camera!

Sounds

I guess I didn't know that toddler's have strange phobias to certain sounds until I had one. Ethan litterally freaks out or bursts into tears and some sounds and then one's that I think will bother him, don't! Like, he gets irritated at the sound of the garbage disposal, but not crazy, but if I use the mixer he cries and cries until it's off and then it takes me a while to calm him down. I even sat him on the counter so he could see what I was doing and he still flipped out. I felt so bad, but I had to finish! My mom has recently discovered that he loves the sound of the dryer! This is so funny to me, he holds onto it and bounces (shakes his booty, I say) to the beat of it! I crack up every time! My washer and dryer are front loaders and there are WAY too many buttons for him. He always stops or starts it, so I have to keep the door closed when I'm doing laundry. But, the other night during his tubby he kept looking up at the fan in the bathroom and while I was getting him dressed he finally started pointing to and wanting it on so I turned it on and he started doing his little "booty shake"! You can't hear the fan on the video, but here it is! I took 2 of them, hopefully they'll both upload! Oh, how I love this age!! It's so much fun watching him learn....and learning from him too!

Today

Ethan has been so much fun today! A little mischievous, but so stinkin' cute! This morning, I was putting a few things away in the bathroom and Ethan was busy throwing his toys in the tub. I decided to quick refill my coffee and heard a strange sound, when I got back to the bathroom I discovered that the "strange sound" that I heard was the sound of the TP roll being unrolled at record speed! I'm sure every kid has done this, including me around the same age, so I had to grab a few pictures of him!

BUSTED!!!!!

Who me??

Hey, Mom...look what I did!!!!

Later, he pulled out this pitcher - don't worry, it's plastic, (look familiar Marcy?) and was walking all over with it. He was talking into it and laughing at how funny he sounded, then he'd hand it to me to talk into! I tried to video tape him talking in it, but he was too interested in the camera to do what I wanted (of course!). He really liked it when I'd play it back for him!

Happy Anniversary!

This weekend we celebrated our 7th Anniversary in good 0l' Detroit (mostly b/c Derek was able to get Lions tickets to see the Bears). To be honest, I had never been there and now I see why. What a dirty, run-down city! It was sad how bad it is! We made the best of it though! We went to MGM on Sat and that place is beautiful! You'd never know that you weren't in Vegas inside, it was really nice. We ate a restaurant called Coach Insignia, which was in our hotel (we stayed at the Marriott which is in the Renaissance Center). The restaurant was on the 72nd floor and had a really awesome view of the city, the river and even Canada! The food was absolutely outstanding too! I highly recommend it. We found out that night the Bears team players were staying at our hotel too! Derek was really excited. I thought he was going to make me wait in the lobby for hopes of autograph though...he didn't! There were a bunch of kids hanging out with their dad's though, I can definitely see Derek and Ethan doing that some day! Shelly in her Bears wear (Ok, the jersey is Derek's!)
Derek in his Bears wear
AWWW Aren't we cute!
Here's the final score, (notice how many empty seats already! People started leaving when it was 30-0 in the 3rd quarter!). If you can't read it, it says Ditka = 300, Lions = 7 (Ha! Ha) I mean Bears 34 Lions 7! I think the stadium was pretty 50/50 Bears to Lions fans! It was pretty funny!

The 2 couples sitting around us were really nice (big Lions fans though...) The ladies made this sign based on an interview with Marinelli last week when he said to someone "what do you want me to do, wave a magic wand to make them win?!" So they made this sign and made brought their magic wands....too bad they didn't work! They were fun though, I was hoping we'd get on TV, but I don't think it worked!

Happy Anniversary Baby! I can't believe it's been 7 years since I said "I do" and became Mrs. Derek Eade! Thank you for a great weekend!
